My sister and I were in Vernal for a week and ended up eating here twice. The food is incredible, the prices are better than reasonable and the service was fantastic. As we traveled around town we were repeatedly told that this was the place to eat (which we were quite capable of verifying)! Even when we swung out to Roosevelt we were asked, “have you been to Swain’s? You need to go to Swain’s…” Again — fantastic stop. If you’re in the area this is a must go for lunch or dinner.

Had a great steak with good friends. And the chocolate cake is as big as your head with a ton of ice cream, enough for 6 people. I will definitely be going here again.

I have never had an experience as good as this at a restaurant!! If you want somewhere to eat in Vernal this is the place. The service was amazing. They were nice, quick, and helpful. The food was incredible and I haven’t tasted anything with that much flavor in Vernal! Overall I would rate it a 5 star!

Kudos to our waitress, Alexia and hats off to our chef Tyson. To be honest we eat here a lot. One of our favorite restaurants in Vernal. Today’s lunch exceeded expectations. The presentation and flavor of the sun kissed mussels was outstanding. The clam chowder sublime. The chicken fried steak, as usual, was huge and smothered with gravy. Everything ordered was shared between the three of us. We all left stuffed, ready for a nap 😂 My sister from the big city of Tucson was pleasantly surprised by the quality and amount of food that was provided. Well done again Swains! Thanx!

This place was SO good that we went back the next day for a second meal while in town. One of the very best steaks we've ever had. The meat is incredibly tender and cooked to perfection. The rolls were just like grandma used to make. They have diet Dr. Deeper for bonus points. The service was fast and very friendly. Definitely recommend!

The food is very good! One of the best steaks I have ever had! The prime rib is good, but the charbroiled steaks are superior! I enjoyed the sweet cream butter for the deliciously fluffy rolls. I would say their mashed potatoes are excellent! I love potato skin in the mashed potatoes and they have it. The fries are okay. The service was quick. Glad we stopped here!

Swain Brothers Steakhouse was outstanding and easily one of the best steakhouse experiences I’ve had. The ribeye was phenomenal. It was perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and hands down the best ribeye I’ve had so far. Every bite was exactly what you hope for when ordering a great steak. The service really elevated the experience, too. The waitress was incredibly helpful and went out of her way to accommodate dietary restrictions, which made the meal feel relaxed and genuinely welcoming. It’s always a huge plus when a place takes that kind of care. With amazing food, attentive service, and a comfortable atmosphere, Swain Brothers Steakhouse is absolutely worth a visit if you’re in Vernal. I’ll definitely be back. 🥩

Omg this was the best prime rib I’ve had in a long time. Perfection his cordon blue was great as well. The cheese cake was ridiculous. Great server

We came to Vernal on a small stay cation and found this awesome restaurant. Was very impressed with our appetizer, the fried cauliflower. If you like buffalo sauce and spicy this has a kick. The salad was fresh. We ordered our Entree Sicilian Style and loved it - shrimp, artichoke hearts, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, with blue cheese cream sauce and balsamic reduction. The Ribeye was cooked a perfect med/rare. The side of loaded mash was on point. The chocolate cake was delicious. 10/10 for the Entrees 8/10 for dessert, and I'd like to try something else.

We went to Vernal for the Via Ferrata and went to Swains for dinner. The quality of food and service to price ratio is so amazing. Maybe I’m just used to Denver prices…Our waitress, Rachael was very attentive and did a great job. The steak was SUPERB. We know where to go now when we come back!! :)
